Days Of The New

Days of the New es una banda post-grunge formada en Charlestown, Indiana en 1995. El grupo lo forman su vocalista y guitarrista Travis Meeks y una variedad de músicos colaborabores. Son conocidos por el éxito "Touch, Peel and Stand" y "The Down Town", ambos del álbum con el que debutaron que lleva por título el mismo nombre que la banda. El sonido se caracteriza por un dúo de voces desgarradas (propias del estilo), oscuras y nasales, en compañía de guitarras sin distorsión, con muchos arreglos de arpegio.

Genesis

Genesis es una banda británica de rock progresivo formada en Surrey, Inglaterra, en 1967. A pesar de que el sonido del grupo se caracterizó siempre como progresivo / sinfónico, después de sus primeros dos álbumes de estudio el grupo adoptaría lo que será la formación clásica de la banda, que duraría sólo cinco años, entre 1970 y 1975, y que marcaría un giro en la historia del rock. Ésta formación consistía de Peter Gabriel en voz, Phil Collins en batería, Tony Banks en teclados, Mike Rutherford en bajo y Steve Hackett como el guitarrista principal.
Junto con la separación de Peter Gabriel de la banda y la asunción de Phil Collins como vocalista principal, el sonido de Genesis se empezó a volcar cada vez más al Pop, a partir de discos como Duke y Abacab y culminando en Invisible Touch.
